▪️Kennedy is 20 years old, and from South Carolina. She is an aspiring snow boarder (in South Carolina?! Yes.), and she’s a welder!
▫️ She completed four years of AG in high school ; Now, I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, so I asked her to explain. Her school had a class called AG, it teaches Farming, Welding, Tools ect. If you complete all four years, you receive a certificate. Her teacher really got her into it, and inspired her to really give welding a try.
▪️Kennedy took and passed the weld test and began working almost immediately. She learned on the job and worked her way up to where she is now. She currently works in a plant, she has been welding ASME in MIG, she made exhaust chambers for water tanks for over a year. She can also TIG, and Stick weld, she just isn’t certified in them.
▫️Kennedy recently became a robotic operator and she is completing training for that right now. Once she is trained in that, she plans to go back to school to become a robotic programmer. It’s going to take her a while, but she is excited none the less.
▪️ @kennedyy Thank you so much for sharing your incredible journey with me! I sincerely look forward to what you will accomplish next! And I’m still totally down to learn how to snow board with you, if you ever make it up this way 🥰
